Belize is a peaceful, English-speaking country, only a few of hours away from three major U.S. Gateways. Sportsmen and Adventurers have called it their own private paradise due to its many natural amenities. Over 40% of Belize is protected as parks and natural preserves. You can hike or canoe through the rainforest, but be sure to bring your binoculars to spot some of the nearly 500 bird species living there. Belize has some of the best fishing in the world, where you can fight bonefish and tarpon all day long! Travel through caves that contain remnants of the Ancient Maya, island hop by kayak, cool off under a glorious waterfall, and snorkel the barrier reef. There is no end to the adventure! And let's not forget the adventures that can be found at local restaurants and beachside bars. The people in Belize are as warm and friendly as the climate. If relaxation is more your style, there are hundreds of acres of sandy beaches to relax with a good book or swim the Caribbean Sea. The annual mean temperature in Belize is 79 degrees Fahrenheit, and the water temperature ranges from 75 to 84 degrees. There is truly something for everyone!
